Stambaugh Ness Announces Retirement of Director of AE Consulting, Scott Hursh
It’s with mixed emotions we announce the retirement of Scott Hursh, CPA, CCIFP, CDA, and Director of AE Consulting, effective April 28.
During his remarkable 41-year career with Stambaugh Ness (SN), Scott has played an instrumental role in the Architecture and Engineering Group‘s development, growth, and success.
Scott’s passion for the AE industry is unmatched. He speaks their language, values their work, and has dedicated his career to helping clients reach and exceed their goals. His colleagues and clients alike rely on his experience, insight, and collaborative approach.
Under Scott’s leadership as Managing Director of AE, SN grew from serving a few local clients to serving hundreds nationally. He established critical relationships with industry trade organizations such as ACEC/PA, ACEC/MD, ACEC National, AASHTO, AIA, PSMJ, and others. Scott served in various roles, such as a member of the ACEC Tax and Regulatory Affairs Committee, ACEC-AASHOT joint committee, and ACEC Finance Forum. He authored several articles and blogs and contributed to the “Insider’s Guide to Ownership and Succession Planning” published by Zweig White.
Scott’s expertise and dedication have made him an authority on financial management, tax and government contract consulting for AE firms. We are deeply grateful for Scott’s contributions and wish him only the best as he enters retirement. Although he will be missed, we hope that Scott can retire with a sense of pride, knowing that his legacy of dedication, commitment, and selflessness will continue for years to come.
