360 Business Forum

Cybercrimes: Why and How to Prepare for Battle

Will your business be a victim of Cybercrime this year?

Given that the FBI’s Cybercrimes Task Force predicts small businesses to be increasingly targeted by cybercriminals during 2013, this 360 Business Forum event is a must-attend. Stambaugh Ness, M&T Bank, and Webb Insurance are proud to sponsor this free seminar and webinar. CPE credits are offered.

Cybercriminals are creative, but this developing war can be won, according to M&T Bank’s Christopher Squier and Stambaugh Ness Business Solutions’ Jason Harrison who will discuss specific tools and tactics you can use in the new cyber wars.

There is value in your digital information, and the cybercriminal underworld knows it. In fact, security research firm Symantec estimates that losses stemming from cybercriminal activity in the past year will exceed $100 billion dollars  worldwide. But it’s not just major financial institutions taking the hit  -  businesses of all sizes and industries are finding themselves in the crosshairs of targeted scams. And it usually starts with something as seemingly innocuous as a link in an email.

There are numerous, proven advantages to conducting business via the Internet and the Cloud. But how safe is your valuable information and what steps can you take to ease your security concerns? Squier and Harrison will teach proactive steps you can take to thwart online thieves before they take aim at your organization. The two-hour sessions will be held in Central Pennsylvania and Northern Maryland beginning May 1.

Session topics will include:

  • The latest tools and tactics used by online criminal cartels to separate businesses  from their money
  • Practical, actionable advice that you can take back to your organization
  • Insight on what to do if you think your organization may  have already been a victim of online fraud

Your best weapon and first line of defense against cybercrime is education and awareness. And all it will cost is a couple of hours of your time!
